Is 230 Squadron attending this years Tiger Meet?
I heard not - apparently the organisers reckon the line up is complete, with the Village People, Elton John and Graham Norton. 230 were surplus to requirements.

I have no inside imformation as to why 230 did not attend, although I believe that they did not send an aircraft last year either. The NTM website initially had 2 Puma scheduled in addition to an RN Merlin. Best guess is that when JHC is stretched to snapping point, the release of airframes and aircrews to complete a det that is perceived by many as fun-full stop is a step too far. I know that when 230 attendance looked unlikely in the past, a contingency was to send a crew in the way that the Swiss Air Force did for many a year. Having attended three such events; it is fun but balanced by some good flying which on occasion meant the fun was missed. Sadly my pyro-maniac days are over as we Work Hard - Work Harder.

Whoa. Nobody invited 27 Sqn. I am surprised that Amber Tiger didn't get an invite though. Rar rar rar

Why would they want to go to a Tiger Meet?? If your going to take the Puss; at least get the facts right.
