I really don't know where to post this so mods feel free to move if you have a better idea. It's a fascinating series of shots of weird looking aircraft, or strangely modded a/c.
I'm not even sure if posting like this will work, it's a .ppt.

sabredog,
Those images presented as the Kalinin KA-7 in the powerpoint has been doing the rounds for a number of years. It is just computer graphics. It was a series of computer generated images that appeared in a circular e-mail. Ever since they have been presented as 'real'.

The actual K-7 design.

Thank you,TJ,and yes, and I was aware of the CGI/computer montages of the "K-7" doing the rounds,as it were.
I misread Carpetonian's post, and did not realise that we were being asked for our choice of unusual designs. Apologies,so I have deleted the #post so as not to confuse the issue. Should be a good thread, though.

Did that 767 ever fly with that object above the forward fuselage?

N707ZS, did you mean this one?

It was once used to monitor ICBM launches and simulated warhead re-entries at Kwajalien Atoll.

On display at the TAM aviation museum near Sao Carlos Brazil. Should have taken note of what it was, now can't remember. Any suggestions?

It opens on my laptop, and on our other computer, I checked .... with 'Open Office' as I'm too mean to pay for MS Office! So I don't know why you can't open it. If you PM me with your email address I'll email it to you although I suspect that won't solve the problem.

HHA Eng, I think red flying boat is a Caproni of some sort - perhaps a replica?

A quick Google reveals all - via Wikipedia. Just type TAM aviation Brazil - or similar clues

Aviate, thanks for that couldnt remember what it was apart from it was such an ugly machine but looking at the wiki information quite a remarable one in its day holding many records for height and speed and the first crossing of the South Atlantic.
