A 6.5 Million dollar (http://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/news/article.cfm?c_id=3&objectid=10725134) fine just handed down, ontop of the 12 Million one here (http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2010/11/10/3061923.htm), not forgetting the big 70 Million one here (http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2007/11/28/2103149.htm)!

Em, Qantas 3 times price fixing, there will be a 4th 99%, bottom line, break more laws, pay the fines and make more money.
Funny thing is, why do idiots still buy tickets on QF? Cant they go online and see much better offers on Cathay, Singapore etc?

What a bizar buch of pax :p

(As this is a Pilot forum, this is not aimed at the the tech crew, who I believe are very professional and VERY well trained and most I meet think their management are a bag of peanut picking idiots who have kinky fetish desires wishes with butternut pumpkins)

Interesting facts and links in this thread. Although some people would say that these incidents reflect against QF's ethics and 'moral compass', to which I agree, what about the bigger picture - An organisations culture, whether that be ethical OR safety? The culture is driven from top to bottom. If the 'people' at the top are driving the sort of culture that has been displayed over recent years within QF, with price fixing and other dodgy practises, then it makes you wonder whether the same people are driving a safety culture forward doesn't it ?
Proof is in the paperwork.

Remember Geoff Dixon will claim that one of the biggest collusion frauds in history was orchestrated by one man who was a rogue element in QF who operated without the knowledge of those above him. So no matter how bad this gets those in higher manangement are squeaky clean.

The fact that the judge in the US diasgrees with Geoff is another matter!!

How do you think we are getting the money back to pay for all the student loans for pilots?
Once thats done, then we skip the ditch to come and fly for QF for half the price :E

Surely share holders must be sick of reading about the failures of Qantas Management/Board. If these guys were staff members racking up these types of demerit points, fines, legal fees they would be out on their a**.

STOP LINNING YOUR POCKETS WITH CASH AND GET THIS ONCE GREAT AIRLINE BACK ON TRACK....
