Loss of License [Archive]

Hello All,

I was searching already on the Forum about LOL but i couldn't find anything useful for me.
Could You please provide me with some information regarding to it.
I am 35 years young from Central Europe.
Any advice?

Don't do it if you can avoid it. It can be very inconvenient when facing a ramp check. My tip is to put it in a zip-up pocket in your flight bag and then remember where it is.

If you do lose it - just produce your driving licence - most European inspectors will accept that if you include a €100 note with it.

I use Hiscox, it's ok, fairly good payout and reasonable monthly premiums. You can get it if you go through the Independent Pilots Association in the UK. You can be a member if you are not a UK resident. Welcome to the IPA (http://www.ipapilot.com) and look for Independent Pilot Financial Services.
