Hi

Following their recent annual spring training camp in Cyprus, the Red Arrows have donated a great prize for charity to BFBS (British Forces Broadcasting Service).

You and three buddies will visit the team during their winter training programme at their base at RAF Scampton. You'll meet the team, sit in on briefings, enjoy a buffet lunch with the team and get the chance to have pictures taken with the famous red Hawk aircraft and pilots.

Sound good?

The auction is on e-bay right now here Visit to The Red Arrows for 4 people - BFBS on eBay (end time 17-May-11 12:05:23 BST) (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Visit-Red-Arrows-4-people-BFBS-/120721195801?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1c1b8b4319&ssPageName=RSS:B:SHOP:GB:101)

BFBS is the forces broadcaster linking service personnel and loved ones around the world and even in the UK on DAB radio, Sky 0211 and Freesat 786.

BFBS's charity is 'The Big Salute' which, in turn supports 5 different forces charities... BLESMA, Combat Stress, Veterans Aid, St Dunstan's and F.A.B.

The auction launched along with this year's 'Big Salute' at the Army/Navy match at Twickenham and runs til May 17th

Good luck and thanks!

- An expression of utter disbelief at a truly unfathomable circumstance. Popularised by the grumpy old man Victor Meldrew (Richard Wilson) from the popular BBC television situation comedy series, One Foot in the Grave.

Fantastic ! Very pleased to be the winning bidder of this fabulous day out with the Red Arrows at RAF Scampton, where I was a kid in AMQs during the late '50s when the Victors and Vulcans were based there.

We were in Menorca last week and expressed our disappointment that we would miss the Red Arrows performing over the Mahon port on 25th May to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the building of the British naval hospital on King's Island in the middle of the port.

Needless to say this day out with the Red Arrows will more than make up for missing the Mahon display !

Thanks for letting us know about the auction................ SJ
