Does Falcon have en EFB approval for paperless cockpit (does the falcon have a dual server for the approach plates)

We have a control column mounted EFB it has mains power and GPS input so we get a moving map, another one I flew had a fwd side pocked mounted EFB that was removed because it was impractical, and finally we had a machine that just had the plates on the planes database.

Personally I prefer using the aircraft based system with a paper back-up.

I found it was easier to brief both crew especially if it was a complicated sid or star, leave it open on the lower DU and keep INAV on top.

But is the build in chart sollution certified without paper backup as a full EFB solution or do you still need plates.

That all depends upon your certifying agency. Speak to your FOI, and ask.

In two different companies on different sides of the planet we have always been required to carry paper back ups per local requirements.
