During landing at Kuala Lumpur (KUA) a couple of weeks ago I noticed six or seven 747s at right angles to the runway. Because they were nose on to me I could not see any markings. Three or four of them were engineless. I would be grateful for any information on them.

-400s or classics? Typical to see 747 classics parked

747Forever- I am well aware that it is not unusual to see parked 747s. I did not have time to note any details as we landed but I believe they were in log-term storage because they were not near any buildings and were lined up parallel to one another, at right angles to the runway. They appeared to be in the middle of the airfield.

A quick google search came up with an operators list of 747s, all stored aircraft should be in this list somewhere.
