Hi All, Does anyone have any info regarding PPR for Scarr End helipad (just south of VRP Dewsbury) map (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Scarr-end-heli-port/158522507535141)
It's on the recent charts, and in previous CAA chart amendments (http://www.caa.co.uk/application.aspx?catid=64&pagetype=65&appid=8&mode=detail&chart=5) listed as a civil helicopter site, but not in Pooleys heliports, no luck with google... any ideas?

Aucky,
I believe the site belongs to a private businessman and is within his business premises. I'm not sure of the exact dimensions of the pad, although I have flown over it a couple of times. It lies just adjacent to the southern VRP entry/exit point for the Leeds zone.
If you PM me your contact details I'll pass them onto a person who knows the owner of this site/business (and has previously landed there) and hopefully he will be able to help you with your enquiry.

There's a mention of something here that may be it, Ali:
Helicopter repair firm to fight Earlsheaton bridge plans - Local - Dewsbury Reporter (http://www.dewsburyreporter.co.uk/news/local/helicopter_repair_firm_to_fight_earlsheaton_bridge_plans_1_1 351670)

Thanks T, I now have a name and address, but the company has no website or contact details, i'm getting the feeling it's probably largely for private use, but I shall persevere for now :)

edit - Paul, who bought the six-and-a-half acre Scarr End site eight years ago, runs lorry painting and helicopter refinishing businesses If it's purely for business i'm sure i could find a chip in the paintwork :E
