Dear all,

Actually I am finishing the PPL license and I want to study the following one:

- Finish the PPL in Spain
- Study ATPL with Oxford academy in UK
- Do 80 fly hours in Spain
- Do CPL, IR and ME in fte Jerez (CAA license) in Spain

My question is if the commercial airlines are very interested to receive a pilot from important academies.

What do you think it is most important?

- Come from a very good academy (Oxford, fte Jerez, etc.) with the only 200 hours experience.
- Or it is better to come from an unknown Spanish academy but with 300 hours fly experience

Thanks a lot for your helping,

Hello ecru, welcome to the forum. I'm sure you will find differing opinions on this site, and I will you tell you that I don't think it matters that much unless you do an integrated program at a well known school that has a tie in with an airline, like FTE and Flybe, or what Oxford and Netjets had for example. Otherwise, I don't think it would make a difference if you went famous school vs no-name school.

The good thing about choosing the schools that you have chosen is that you will get a UK licence and not a Spanish one. You could save some money though with other schools. Just my two cents.
