View Full Version : Easy to find job for a fresh CPL/IR pilot in Cameroon ?

Hello,

I'm a 37 years old engeneer and now considering to get a CPL/IR to convert to a pilot job in Cameroon.

Any advise about my project ?

Do the CPL/IR can be sufficient, is it easy to find a job in Cameroon ?

As I'm sure you know, there are plenty of other french speaking countries in Africa.

My wife was born there. And so we have familly there and so we're familliar with it.

But I do not know anything about the flying opportunities for pilots in this country. I don't have any flight exprience :}

am 36yrs of age with JAR,CPL/ME,IR and cameroonains with no job included in the Cameroon, so i do not think is a good thing to do just for cameroon, and look that age is not on your side, think again.:=

Hi Peplum,
I used the same path as you did, ie engineering then flying. My advice to you at this stage is to use your maintenance position to get a slot as a line pilot. Do not expect much in terms of salary as a pilot at this point but take advantage to build your flying time. This is the path that I used and it is working for me.
