Maybe Steve Ballmer isn't reaching for the indigestion tablets yet, but this is just what Linux needs:

The Canterbury Distribution is a merge of the efforts of the community distributions formerly known as Debian, Gentoo Linux, Grml, openSUSE and Arch Linux.It has been officially announced the 1st of April 2011 and at the moment the mainpage of the project is visible visiting the main page of one of the aforementioned distributions.
As an Opensuse user, I'm really pleased to learn of this collaboration.
