Hello,

I'm flying a private jet for a group of companies, all under the same holding company. All flights (no exceptions) are business flights for the group. The aircraft is owned by a company within the group, who bill the client companies for the services. We fly on a JAR private registration, to private regulations, and so pay VAT on fuel.

If we pass to IoM register, what will be the advantges to us?

Am I right in thinking that we will be able to uplift fuel without the VAT?

No, you're not right I'm afraid...

Used to be the case but more and more countries are not accepting the 'Certificate of Commercial Use'. Some fuellers still accept it but the pool is getting smaller by the day.

By EU decision you should get the fuel tax free in an EE country. If the fueler denies it, what actually happens often, you can claim it back afterwards from the tax office of the country you fueled your aircraft.

I am aware that Spain and Greece are a bit reluctant to accept a CoC, but we don't go there all that often.

I know that the CoC is accepted in France and UK without question.

Which other countries in Europe won't accept it?
