their website lists air india as one of their clients but India is not mentioned in the list of countries
Secondly major carriers such as AA, BA,Continental, Delta, KLM, Lufthansa do not hire low time pilots.

Absolute scam! Infact, they will soon be contacted by an airline they listed as a client for unauthorized use of their name and logo in their website!!

What is that part about 'MALE PILOTS ONLY' crap? Bluestar must be run by some backwards a$$ idiot. The only bigger idiot will be the one who gives them any money!

Hmm... I thought this was an opportunity knocking on the door until I ran into this thread here! BTW, I'm not a CPL holder... I was more interested in their advert for 'technicians/engineers'...

Just curious, how can I be certain that this is not a scam? Does any authority keep a track of consultancies where you can verify their credentials?

Nye, I just saw their site mate, seems a big time scaming scheme. It's not just Air India, They've got Air New Zealand on there and NZ ain't there as a country either. Plus, I know for a fact that Air NZ's not associated with any such guys.
The Funniest part is they've listed all the American airlines that they could left, right & Center however, the U.S.A. is not there on their list o client countries as well. (guess they know they'll get caught a lil faster if they listed U.S. as a client eh. bcz those guys take stuff like this very seriously)

This is DOWNRIGHT HILARIOUS man!!! :}

I feel the reason they've asked just for "MALE INDIAN PILOTS" is bcz they feel that in the light of the recent events, FEMALE INDIAN PILOTS might be subjected to more scrutiny by the authorities...which is exactly what scam artists like these wouldn't want right? Unwanted Attention i.e.! However, the fools don't seem to realize that at present everybody in the Indian Aviation industry starting from Airlines to Regulators to Trainees to Aviators is under the scanner, irrespective of their gender! :E

Please be Careful of such scams guys!

@Cyrilroy Kudos to you mate! your information's so on time you're really an asset to the community! :) Keep up the Good Work! :ok:

Just like what A69 pointed out regarding OCEANIC AIRLINES, that airline only exist in movies. Maybe Blue Star Aviation Services (http://www.bluestaraviationservices.com/) is also hiring actors/actresses to act as a pilot for a movie set?

Oceanic Airlines (sometimes called Oceanic Airways) is a fictional (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fictional) airline (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airline) used in several films (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Film) and television programs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Television_program).

Its most recent major appearance is in Lost (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_%28TV_series%29), where Oceanic Airlines is featured branded (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/brand#Verb) with a highly-stylized logo depicting an Aboriginal dot painting (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indigenous_Australian_art#Papunya_Tula_and_.22dot_painting.2 2) that resembles a nazar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazar_%28amulet%29), a bullseye (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bullseye_%28target%29), an island (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Island), or an "O (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/O)" (for Oceanic). The show's fictional storyline (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plot_%28narrative%29) begins with the crash (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aviation_accidents_and_incidents) of an airline flight called Oceanic Flight 815.
The airline has also been featured in many other media. The original occurrence of Oceanic Airways was in the 1996 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1996_in_film) film Executive Decision (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Executive_Decision). The film's producers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Film_producer) shot extensive footage (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Footage) of an actual Boeing 747 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_747) but with a different logo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logo) and livery (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aircraft_livery) to that used on the later Lost Oceanic flight. This stock footage (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stock_footage) has been reused in several films and television programs, spreading the Oceanic Airlines brand across various and unrelated fictional universes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fictional_universe).

this is a fraud.... dont mess with them..... i dont know why government is so lenient and dont take any action against such touts???
its really really too much.. these touts and companies knows that in India CPL holders are dieing for job and most of them are from good families. and for there dream of flying there parents will arrange any amount of money they will demand for........... shame on such touts and government too... so corrupted.....
even the airlines in India are just taking advantage of helplessness of cpl holders and charging 300-450 USD as exam fee.
recently spicejet conducted exam for cpl holders on 4th march in gurgaon and charged 20,000INR per candidate to take that bull**** test. only 300 cpl holders were called. and "confidential" word was mentioned in the call letter that dont tell anyone else.
this is a clear exploitation and taking advantage of this, such scammers/touts/froad companies are making fool of innocent cpl holders ........

I have been having this feeling abt Blue Star being too good to be true. Especially after i found more than a few spelling mistakes and grammatical errors on their website.

I have initiated an inquiry into the authenticity of the company's claim that it is ISO certified and accredited to/by JAS-ANZ or IAF. Lets see what happens.

Will keep you posted.

Paying 15lakhs for training, Okay but on which aircraft????

i attended the exam..it was in hilton, which is ofcourse a fantastic hotel....easy disguise...once i reached i saw the notice board which said that after the technical written there would be 3 more tests, 2 aptitude and 1 reasoning....questions for technical were around ppl level...really easy....reasoning was also pretty easy....aptitude were as usual boring....approx 61 people gave the exam....56 cleard....(wonder who those unfortunate 5 people are)....questions were really easy...results were out on the notice board...with interview dates...4th to 6th...results of which will be on the 8t..interview is technical and psy(which is apparently gonna be taken by sm psychiatrist)....the guy there said that after ure through the interview ure doc verification will be done and before the 20th you would have to sign the contract...he also said that you will be a employee of bluestar and not the airline through out your job...TR will be done abroad or in india...unsure as of now....and the venue for the interview is at zara aviation office located in mahipalpur....wonder why its there inspite of BSAS having its own office in dwarka...this is the 1st time BSAS is doing this for pilots...apparently it hired some AME's a few months ago who are currently undergoing training in dubai and are in czech airlines....wonder how true that is....they treated us well...with sm breakfast before the exam started....sm really good lunch and some decent snacks in between the last two papers....overall...food was good questions were easy...

It all started like this.
The exam was conducted in Hotel Hilton on the 3rd April.Reporting was 11:30 am.
On reaching we were offered tea, coffee with sandwiches, muffins etc.

The main exam was from 12:00 to 02:00.
At 02:00 there was this buffet lunch spread!

Then were the two aptitude test.
Then again at 04:00 we were offered tea. coffee with snacks.
THIS ALL WAS IN HOTEL HILTON!

Then, was the last reasoning test.
At around 05:30 results were announced.
Not sure, looked like all passed! (Dont know the exact no, approx 56 out of 61 candidates).
Interviews were from 4th to 6th. (Mine being on the 6th)

After the exam I had 2 clear days to kill in Delhi.
I visited their office in Dwarka.
Here is the address incase any one wants to visit.
Blue Star Aviation Services,
S-5,6 Manish Twin Plaza,
Ashirwad Chowk, Sector-11,
Dwarka, New Delhi.
Met one of the guys in their office. The office was tacky, and you cant believe these were the guys who conducted exam in HOTEL HILTON.
Anyway, spoke to the office guy, he had no clue what I was talking about. He asked me to talk to the General Manager. He wasnt there.

Then came the interview on the 6th. The interview was conducted in some Zara Aviation pvt lmt. in Mahipalpur. They were asking questions from open books. (Mainly tecnical).
All looked over done.

Conclusion - DONT FALL FOR THIS!

So now juveniles backed with CPL licenses with no flying job at hand which qualifies them as unemployed just like some of us has created a new dimension in Indian Aviation called " Holy Aviation Service cum Placement Provider ".

Handful of guys in their late teens or early twenties trying to CON fellow desperate airmen of their hard earned money by providing dreamy yet scary " Life Changing " opportunity that would make already miserable life of being PILOT in INDIA more depressing.

Such is a state of desperation among unemployed lot that they are ready to work for free ...infact paying to work and already inflated Indian Aviation is being taken for a ride by this so called " Placement Agents " with a catchy website with all those lifted icons and outdated news paper clippings/cutting from past “ BOOM “ period trying to con naïve pilots who will do anything to jump over the masses by any means just to get into that right seat of shiny new or perhaps old jet and boast how classy their work profile is by wearing an over sized aviator glasses that’s enough to hide the sorrow in the eyes of being an pilot.Lads buying a TR hasn’t done any good then how come T&C provided by likes of this agents will make any change?

Seriously just going to the site of host agents/placements providers can give a full and clear indication of how much FAKE this LIFE TIME OPPORTUNITY is along with SLAVE T&C.Yet some people who just joined PPRUNE recently to treat this platform merely as an ADVRT tool are trying to justify that this PLACEMENT agencies are MESSIAH’s who are just meant to show Indian pilots a way to glory…..Which glory?...only glory that a wiser human being can see is BANK balance of this touts flood with some innocent yet naïve pilot’s money.

Its wiser to check basic background of people who happens to be in Management of this service providers. And let me tell you all this so called Management Boy are just a plain CPL holders many of them who don’t even have an Indian Flying license infact many of them don’t even got a basic education degree to back them. Some of them just passed out from an Training school with bag full of Letter heads of that school with an tag saying “ Authorized Indian “ representative for them.

Irony of this post is that “ DON’T FALL FOR CONMANS…..” ….atleast spare the future of those pilots who have been waiting with patience without getting into mad rush of TR or P2F.

Stay clear of Blue star or Zara or MSD or any aviation service provider.

If any one feels offence by my post feel free to mark my neck.Never wanted to OFFEND any one…..just being wise and practical.

Guys,
I've just received an email from Blue Star Aviation congratulating me for being selected for their dubious program.
Contrary to what has been claimed earlier in this thread, they seem to be JAS-ANZ registered.
Certified Organisation Search » Joint Accreditation System of Australia & New Zealand (JAS-ANZ) (http://www.jas-anz.com.au/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=45)
You google JAS-ANZ, click on "Certified Organisations" and in the search fields type Blue Star Aviation and select India for Country.

This isnt concrete proof that they are bonafide and I'm not going to waltz into their office with the DD of 15 lakhs.
All it means is that everything is hearsay until verified. It could very well be that some posts are just intended to whittle down competition.

Meanwhile, if anybody unearths information regarding Blue Star, do share.

She: Sir, we wanted to confirm whether you are joining the program.

Me: Is it possible to delay payment, say until just before training begins - no loss for you, clearer picture for me.

She: No sir, company policy.

Me: How about taking the payment in installments? Again, no loss for you, manageable financial burden for me.

Hey everyone!

I'd applied for their engineers' position and I've received an email from them asking me to sit for their written examination on the 21st in Bangalore. How did it work out for guys/gals that had appeared for the pilot's exam? I've been following the thread so I know the situation, just wanted to know if you've any updates.

I'd like to go sit for the test and speak to them for myself but since that entails investment of time and money in travelling from DEL to BLR... I'm not sure that that is such a good idea.

Well anyone has checked how old BSAS. Their registration no or any thing else like which airlines they had tieup with ..becoz they had shown only airline logo which anyone can get it from google & put it on website there is no rules for that.Do they have latter of authority from said airlines for pilots or ame placements. If you go on said airlines' website you hardly find opening for low time A320 typerated Co-pilot.then how BSAS gona placed co-pilot on those airline..I wonder :hmm:

Very true sukhoi30mki (http://www.pprune.org/members/355048-sukhoi30mki) after all our fellow avitors comments they(BSAS) have changed their website completly.like removing oceanic airline logo and adding acc no of JAS-ANZ. ,etc..

Gud thing to note that they are Indian Reg. company and they do not have client country India or USA ,where in USA there are many regional airlines. This is becouse you can get strait forward answer from them that we are not related with BSAS.

I called Singapore Airlines and Lufthansa Airlines H.O and talked to their H.R Manager.. They are not related to BSAS for aviation supplies and staffing in any country.

They are only hiring non type rated co-pilot ,not hiring Captain which make them more suspicious

They told one of my friend in a tricky way that their 1st batch of co pilot is complete and they dont wana do 2nd batch in near future and now they have given half -page advertisment in reputed news paper.

Dont waste your time and money :=.Beware of this kind of scam.

Besides up until now I havent seen any +ve comments on them[BSAS].

So blue star needs sum more Co-pilots...Did anybody Notice dere 1st ad was just a 7*8 size in newspaper but now it's a half page advertisement Cuz that 10 guys(as per thread) has given dem 15lac*10 (lot of money) So now dey have enough Funds to print a half page AD...So guys just be extra careful when it comes to Money.

(Amendment)*--Now Bluestar has amended dere Contract,Now they will give stipend of Rs.30,000 p.m...WOW First take 15 lac from us & den give us Rs. 30,000..I must say these Guy are gud businessman dey dn't want to leave any opportunity to get sum money & pack there bags for vacation to Vegas Baby.

Dear Subeesh (http://www.pprune.org/members/357136-subeesh),
I think you found another loophole in bSAS becoz thats certificate is for Nineteen 20 Crafts & Creation not for blue star aviation services and even the address is differant & that ISO certificate is for exporters & treaders of packaging material ,jems & jewellary. It is nowhere raleted to Aviation sector .The info you have given its making more suspicious about them.:hmm:

And this is JAS-ANZ registration no.I was talking about reg no under indian act.

9th May 2011, 12:44
Acc No. M4130801N is a GENERAL No. for JAS ANZ and SGC.
It no where states that its the certification number for BSAS.

By stating this fact i am not saying that BSAS isnt fraud, i m just saying that we are looking in the wrong direction.

Please look clearly at the bottom of the page where we have headers.
We will see the the statement " Accredition by JASANZ Acc no. M 4130801N".

Now we know the reason why we get that certificate flashed on google search.

Anyone can sign up to PPRuNe or any of the social networking sites can't they?

They can write wonderful stuff too. Isn't it strange no-one with a posting history, any one of the hundreds of qualified pilots registered from India is able to write about this company with any actual knowledge?

How come none of the airlines whose logos are being used for marketing have ever heard of BlueStar?

How can a company formed on the 10th February this year have a plethora of satisfied customers?

A company in existence for exactly three months today? Multiple happy graduates writing on social networking pages where there's no adults with actual experience to comment on their claims?

Bear in mind I sit in on actual ground school and type rating courses for Indian students and I know exactly how long they last. There are reams of paperwork and records generated during such a course - every page signed and dated by the ground school guy, TRI and TRE involved.

So, I'll let you apply Occam's Razor to this outline:

Formed on the 10th Feb.

First advert in India, 16th March

3 months on and the application process shown in the main Blue Star thread is still ongoing - that's India for you huh?

However in the ad beginning on the 16th March, after only 5 weeks of existence, they already had firm clients in:

http://i51.tinypic.com/10sgdxy.jpg

This lot are treating you Indian guys like dirt. Damn it, they even signed up the bloody North Koreans before bothering to let you know of their great deals.

Altogether now - "I'm so ronery, so ronery........."

I was not a part of this racket, but can't help but feel sad and angry after reading the article.

I'm sure most others would feel the same.

Guys even in such hard times where no airline seems to be hiring, its better to be patient and engage ourselves in others ventures while waiting for the right chance rather than falling prey to such unscrupulous fellows.

after making heavy investments in our training it might be easy for one to get carried away, but be warned there are at least a dozen chaps out there trying to make a quick buck out of you.

I hope this article helps others to make informed judgments.

regards.

People who have been cheated must come out and name all the people whom they came across in the entire process, I believe BSAS engaged many aviators on a short term contract for lending them their names. Two similar ongoing frauds from MSD and Anand Mishra.

I think this BSAS thing should be high lighted more and people responsible should be behind bars! If the pilots who were sent have logged an FIR and it's been more than 2 weeks that they are all back from london, why are the people responsible not caught yet!!!???
What is the Police doing??? :suspect: hatching eggs!!!
I feel sad the way things work in India! :(

It says that an "aviation company" called BSAS from Dwarka (West Delhi) cheated about 400 people (pilots and aircraft engineers) by promising them jobs.

The company promised to send the selected candidates on type in countries like Germany, Italy... but kept stalling till April 2012. Under pressure from candidates, they finally sent 8 pilots for type to Britain. But the training in Britain never started and the debit cards provided by the company had been blocked and the guys had to come back at their own expense, only to find out that the company was shut.

The total scam is worth 20 Crore Rupees (~ 3 mil. pounds).
Police has lodged a complain and the owner is on the run.

That is exactly the reason I always try to warn people not to fall prey for such PAY TO FLY schemes.....

If someone really likes to gamble, then it is 10 times better to go to LAS VEGAS or any other CASINO & blow that money yourself. Atleast you can have fun blowing it ....

I feel sorry for the people & their parents whose hard earned money was wasted.....

If it sounds too good to be true, then it most like is so....
