Interviewed with Turkish Airlines in November 2010. I was instructed to purchase an airline ticket to arrive at the Turkish gateway city to proceed to Instanbul. I was told by the recruiter that Turkish would reimburse me. During the interview process I went to see the lady who was in charge of reimbursement and although I had all my receipts she would not cut a check but said they would wire the funds to my account. Of course I did not have the wiring information available and when I returned home sent info via email. Four months later and no reimbursement. I have provided this information three times to this rocket scientist to no avail. Has anyone else experienced this with Turkish???

You've been had, either by the system or by the employees. So for anyone else reading this, when you go for an interview with a reputable airline, they buy your ticket. Real airlines have the ability to push out tickets to whomever they wish. If the person you are speaking with doesn't have the clout to give you a ticket, they wont have the clout to employ you. You'll just be speaking with a bottom feeder. Even when contracting I've had my tickets purchased. So so ticket, no interview, no exceptions!
