EDMONTON - Three people had to be rescued after a helicopter crashed north of Yellowknife, NT, Tuesday.
The helicopter went down 200 kilometres north of Yellowknife just after noon, said Maj. Gerry Favre with the Rescue Co-ordination Centre in Trenton, Ont.
The three people on board weren't injured in the crash, and they were picked up by a civilian vehicle and transported back to Yellowknife, Favre said.
He said it was snowing at the time of the incident, but the weather was fairly reasonable.
The helicopter was owned and operated by a company, Favre said, and was believed to have been en route to another location at the time.
