Another sad passing, especially as 201 is, arguably, the oldest squadron in the RAF having been 1 Squadron RNAS.

In April 1968 we had a RAF 50th bash at Kinloss (I was on 120.) The wags from 201 placed a huge banner in the ballroom proclaiming:
"201 Squadron welcomes the Royal Air Force to the Half-Ton Club!"
