I have an interview coming up with Air Asia, and was hoping someone could help shed light on the process, i.e. technical exam, sim ride, etc...

Any advice will be helpful. Thanks ahead of time...

Haven't done an assessment with Air Asia, but pilotjobsnetwork.com suggests the process is as follows:

Written test of ATPL questions;
CRM group assessment;
an interview with two captains;
and a sim check

Hopefully someone will expand on that shortly.

Thanks man, although I'm mostly interested in learning what to expect from the sim ride? i.e. what kinds of failures to expect? Dual hydraulic failure, etc..?

Just had a search through the forum and came up with this:

"First day:
1) company presentation
2) CRM Exercise
3) Written Technical Exam (taken from Ace the Pilot Interview book)
Second Day:
Interview
Third Day
Simulator Assessment
- for type rated (i.e. A320, 330 or 340) - EFATO (Engine Failure After Take-Off), then land
- for non type rated - play with the sim

Basically, the recruitment pilots are looking for people who'd fit the Air Asia family. Its more of personailty assessment."

Can't find any more detailed information than this, I'm afraid. But I hope this helps.
