Was outside the house, heard plane noise, looked up and was pretty sure I saw nine planes very close - they looked the same span, one leading, eight following, not quite overlapping. Formation on a Saturday? BTW this is not so far from Scampton, and there were maybe at 5,000' or so - they weren't tiny specks.
