A word of advice to cabin crew on loco and charter airlines where the passengers on one side of row one sit facing two crew members during take-off, turbulence and landing - REMEMBER THE PASSENGERS WHOSE KNEES ARE VIRTUALLY TOUCHING YOURS CAN HEAR EVERYTHING YOU SAY TO EACH OTHER. If you choose to discuss intimate details of your life there's no point in becoming irritated when you realise the slf secured to their seats in front of you have heard everything you've said.
If you sit down for landing and say loudly: "Thank goodness this day's over" and the passenger directly in front of you expresses sympathy at least look at him when growling a short monosyllabic answer.
Please also do not take a mild comment about how flights of three and four hours would seem shorter if the aircraft was equipped with IFE personally. This should not provoke a lecture about value for money fares and claims that all passengers want to do is sleep and read.
I'll say no more.
