Strange advert. Used to love seeing the A340 in Sydney with Four engine for longhaul written on it taking past the Voz 777.

I think it is a great advert.............being 1.5 minutes long I'm not too sure if it will go on TV in the present form. If shown here in OZ, QF marketing had better sharpen up, not that you see too many QF adverts these days!

IMHO, a bit too much James Bond undertones, except the last bit about Linda in Miami, but she's probably an MI5 agent on assignment. :ugh:

.......very clever marketing & even if it is a little 007-ish who cares it's designed to get yr attention & that's exactly what it did:ok: These Co's pay big bucks to stand out & by the looks of the comments here already right or wrong they are getting the desired results:-)

That's the whole point - it is a direct copy of a 007 movie intro. Cool Britannia and all that - probably filmed at Pinewood Studios!
Too bad that VA is no great shakes when you actually fly them (in EY anyway) - better than JQ tho........:mad:

I think you'll find the marketing ploy is based on that fact that bond is associated with the glamorous romantic image of the 60s; the golden era of aviation travel, when it was still special to fly. Be good to see everything else follow the suit.
