Hour Building

Hi im going to Florida in a few months to build a few hours before i build the rest here in the UK. Ive searched for a good thread on it here but cant find a page which gives instructions on converting my JAA to FAA license in order to rent a plane there.
I understand I have to fill in CAA a form and get it to the FAA, anyone have a link with good advice on not wasting too much time on it? Possible to get it done within 2 months?
I believe I have to get an FAA medical aswell, just want to get the ball rolling though

Plenty more options than Florida are available over the pond. Florida tends to be more expensive than other US states.

For instance you can get a 152 for 50 quid or a PA-28 for 55 quid (wet) in LA.

My advice would be to do a little more research on where to go hour-building.
