Hello fellow pruners. I am invited for an interview and will be "screened" in a B737NG simulator. The problem is that they normally require MCC but made an exception for me.

I need some tips/advice on how to show as much as possible with no multi-crew concept experience at all, I will be flying with a captain from the company. Has anyone of you done this before?

Regards

Firstly, if you have been given an exemption, make sure the other guy knows! Then, listen to his brief. If you listen well, ask questions when you are not sure and then do exactly as briefed, you'll be well on your way. Treat the other guy as a friend, a resource and not a slave. Also, remember that the sim. assessment is as much about your current ability as it is about your ability to learn and absorb knowledge.

Best of luck,

Thanks alot for your answer,

As a PF, how much more do I need to do except for the "throttle and stick"-flying?

It depends on the format of the sim session. But typically, each person has an area of responsibility during each phase of flight and together you fly the thing. Without knowing this company's SOPs, I can't say. But whatever they are, always keep the other in the loop. As for basics, ask for flaps, gear and checklists when you need them, ask for speeds and so on, BUT ask for advice if you are not sure. The best you can do is not to worry about what to do until you get a briefing for the sim. assessment.
