I know there was a thread on this before but can't seem to find it....

Does anyone have the contact details of the ground engineer in Manila who arranges the aircraft models? Also, anyone know if all types can be made or only the usual "airliners"?

If anyone knows of other sources any info would be appreciated! I need to get around ten models of varying types made!

Cheers!:ok:

CX Engineer EJ Cardema in MNL organised a great custom model for me, all done from photographs. It wasn't cheap, but the model is superb. Incredible detail (including all aerials etc).

That sounds great.... Do you have a contact email or number for him? I need about ten models made, eg Jetstream, Emb 120, Chieftain etc etc....

I have used Aim High Model Shop in Angeles city for many custom models, B747, LR45, B777 to name a few. All turned out great. They charged me $50 each last time (9 months ago) for 5 custom LR45's painted to match pictures. It seems if you get lots of 5 or more the price is around $50 each. Never checked the price for 1 or 2 because for the price getting 5 was not an issue. Never had a problem getting rid of the excess.

Anyone know where i can get diecast ones?

Mr Hat,
If it is just the generic airliner models then there is a fairly decent shop in Terminal 1 on the Departure level. Also in Mongkok there are several shops that sell models, both military and civilian.
If it is specific models and paint schemes then I wouldn't know...

This is one of Deney's models. They look fantastic close up with lots of details such as aerials. He was asking HK$600 for this one. Didn't buy it as I don't think I would get away with another aircraft model!

He can be contacted mnldfs at cathaypacific.com
