Why do you want to work in the US? I dont think there are any scoops in the US for an Indian with an Aviation degree, even let alone a Software qualification.

In India well if you try hard then you can find but expect to start from the below for very low pay. I know a lot with MBA in check in counters, ground handling and not so big management position. Only few makes it to executive levels.

If you are currently working as an airplane engineer then get the MBA in aviation. If not then I would advise you to get a MBA in finance or other general areas. My Advise to anyone buying an aviation masters degree would be that get it if you are currently working in aviation.

And there are many Good university in India itself offering recognized MBA in aviation. I did it in India without spending a lot. Its up to you if you want to do it in the US but it will cost you a bit more.

All the bestt

This is a highly rated University and they have a good reputation. I would rate their MSc a lot higher than any US MBA on Aviation.

Nice location not too far from London.

And there used to be a Flying School based there - not sure if it still is.

Good Luck

Relax son. Standards of indian aviation is much better than you make out. Dont make sweeping statements without knowing facts.

See the previous post immediately before yours. There is a lot of sound advice on that one.

Basically as "vserian" mentioned if you have a passion for aviation or already working in the indistry and want to establish yourself, go for an Aviation MBA. Else dont waste your money and instead go for an MBA from a good Indian management institute like IIMs or XLRI. It is ofcourse not only expensive but also invloves a lot of REAL EFFORT getting though CAT. But in the end it may be a more practical option as aviation industry is cyclical, and a General MBA from a top 10 institute in India will help you much more in the next down turn. And India's airlines recognise these top flight MBA programmes much more than a specialised aviation MBA and in many cases even as a fresher, you will enter the airline at two or three levels higher with an MBA from IIM/XLRI than the level you enter if you have a specialised aviation MBA.

There are a couple of good MBA institutes in India but what they lack (purely my view) with respect to Graduates from the Cranfield Progrramme or ERAU in US is lack of practical outlook. Facilities available in campus and quality of teaching is far better in Cranfield and ERAU. Also atleast in Cranfield there is a good mix of experienced students and freshers and with a lot of group projects involved you do benefit in that way.

However Cranfield and ERAU are EXPENSIVE for an Indian. If your parents can afford to send you there , go for it If you have to take a bank loan, you can still go for it , but then to pay off the loan forget all dreams of getting back to India and revolutionise the aviation management back home (it is already much better than you think anyway), and instead go and work for EK, QR or EY or any other affluent middle east airline. Many of them do visit campus for recruitments. Make enough money, pay off your loans and then think of getting back to India and work- if you still want to!!!

Captain Stravaigin I believe you are talking about Cab Air

Eagles - that's the emblem for all of Us at ERAU Alumni's.

I did my Bach. In Aviation Business Administration and I do know so many Indian and Pakistani friends who studied at ERAU and are well placed today all around the world in many aviation companies that also includes Continental Airlines, Delta, Executive Jet, P&G, the list goes on.

It's good and yes it's expensive at ERAU. ERAU professors are specialised too but ERAU is known for AFROTC, AE, ATM, Met and AS Majors ( Aero.Engineering, Air Traffic Management, and Aeronautical Science Flight Majors
