I am looking for photos, station publications, maps and aeronautical plates/information relating to RAE Thurleigh, for a project to put together a Display showing the history and aircraft of this site when it used for flight testing from 1946 to closure.

I would be grateful for any assistance

Regards

Now, where did you say you left the car? The £28m backlog of perfectly driveable vehicles waiting to be SCRAPPED | Mail Online (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1263548/Now-did-say-left-car-The-28m-backlog-perfectly-driveable-vehicles-waiting-SCRAPPED.html)

BUTLER01 I suggest you start with these 2 PPRuNe threads in the flight testing forum:

Thanks I have looked at those threads, very interesting, hoping to find some photos of the aircraft at the site, I know photography was forbidden but there may be soem out there. Also photos of buildings and people on the airfield.

If any one has an old set of Approach Plates for Thurleigh, or a Taxy Chart or Airfield plan that would be great.

Heres hoping

Best get yourself a copy of Wings Over Thurleigh which has it all written by the boffins who worked there.
