We operate a CJ and a CJ2 using the below speeds.

CJ - C525
Climb
200kts into 0.5M

Descent (using a Global GNS-XLS)
4.0 FPA
RoD 2500 fpm
Barbers pole -10kts

CJ2 - C525A
Climb 230kts into 0.55M

Descent (using a Universal UNS-1K fms VNAV)
3.0 - 4.0 FPA
RoD 2500 fpm
M0.7 / 270kts / 250kts

For a rough ToD point we use 2x Height+10nm, and adjust for wind

Hi guys,

On the CJ1 we use 220 KIAS until 30000 ft, then 180 KIAS or 500 FPM, wichever happens earlier.
For the descent we use FLīs x 3 for a R/D of 2000. or whatever the FMS tells us. If you program a descent on the FMS with 2000 FPM a rate of 1800 will do all the way down to compensate the ground speed reduction at lower levels.

On the CJ2 the same for descent applies, for climb, we fly 230 until 25000,then 210 KIAS til 30000 and after that we change to VS mode to maintain a RC of 500-1000 FPM.

But thats,of course, how we operate. There are many other way or techniches.

Happy landings!
