A good friend of mine should have been on that flight, but for the grace of God and a minor admin error didnt get aboard.

Was driving home to Ely from Scopwick when the mobile rang with the news that Chaffhead was gone. Hoisting a glass today when I get home from my trip.

I dropped into this place again today: The National Memorial Arboretum - Welcome to the National Memorial Arboretum website (http://www.thenma.org.uk/index.aspx)

Said hello to Hilton 22 once more. Left a note. Gibbo wanted to know the way to Amarillo again...

God bless.

Cpl Dave Williams, I never did have the pleasure of working with him, but met his young family sometime later, they are a credit to him. RIP.

Likewise - always remembered. I was only talking with Gibbo and Steady a few hours before on the pan in Kuwait. They took off before us and we caught them up (we were on an empty 'J') and gave them a wing wave on the way past out of Kuwait - little did we know that would be the last time we saw them all. RIP fellas.
