Anyone know whats going on up at Cottesmore
seems to have been a lot of fast jet circuits ovehead but due to low cloud, no idea what.

Yeah, they were GR4s. There was a CAS exercise on, the poor weather would force them to low level to get visual with the players on the airfield

Thanks for that, after i posted I caught sight under the cloud base of the tail end of a Tonka as it made a tight circuit over Rutland water
Brings back memories of the 80s and early 90s
Cant believe how quiet its is now around here with no FJs or even E3s making circuits.
Down to Wittering on VIP invite with the other half for the Harrier stand down ceremony tommorow:sad:

It was II(AC) Sqn passing by to let those Harrier mates know they are the oldest flying Sqn in the world now....
