hi mate my name is NAEEM , i am 19 years old, and i want to become a commercial pilot and have the qualifications for it, including maths and physics at a-level.

i was going to start training at stapleford flight centre, and went there for an interview discussing how to pay for it. at the time they had told me i could get a loan of £70,000 from hsbc for the full pilot training course. but hsbc have stopped giving out loans, and i am not sure how i am going to get together this amount of money.

so i was hoping since you are doing the pilot training can you please help me and suggest an alternative route.
or any cheap flying schools in europe or in usa?

Thank you very much.

Regards, Naeem.

Naeem, it's been a while since I did the maths, but most modular routes should cost nothing like £70k. Hopefully you'll be more in the region of £40k.
For funding, there are many discussions around it on this site. I'd personally suggest getting a full-time job with some part-time work on the side. Get a business plan together, and approach a bank. They appreciate it, and it shows you're willing to put everything you have into it. Plus, it reduces your loan.
Flying appears cheaper in the USA, however, for the average pilot, going to the USA and coming back to the UK for a conversion will equal the cost out, possibly costing you more.

And most importantly, if you haven't. Engage in the lovely "Exercise 3". It'll cost you around £100, but could save you even more!:}
