Does anyone happen to know what the Cathay IATA code is?

I need it to get an online discount for car hire. I tried using CX but that did not work as the web site seems to be looking for a number.

I called Staff Travel but they, of course, were clueless.

I have also asked a few car hire companies and they tell me there is a code but none of them could track it down.

That is probably because you have your terms confused. Cathay's IATA code is CX. Their ICAO code is CPA.

If their computers aren't accepting those then maybe Cathay is not included in the discount.

Try CX.

If their computers reject this, try 160 (as in one six zero).

Agree VR

There are much better deals to be found rather than using the so called "CX discount".

More times than not CX code works out more expensive.

Try the first Three numbers that appear on any ticket issued by the airline.
