Me too- opened the page with trepidation - fantastic man, and so modest and pleasant - one of the memorable moments of my life was meeting him. Many happy returns.

Likewise, as someone who has been fortunate to meet Eric Brown and hear some of his exploits, I was hoping for the best. Happy Birthday! :D:ok:

Also had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of years ago at a formal dinner. Read his book and a few weeks later someone said he would actually be a guest at our dinner - great.

Happy returns

Flippin' 'eck! Could you change the title to 'happy birthday Winkle' or summat' like that? Nearly had a trepidation overload there.

Very many happy returns of the day to you Captain Brown.

Loved his book so much I didn't return it to the school library for about two years. Sorry!
Happy birthday Sir!

A living legend - I count myself fortunate enough to have met him and then watch him speak at a presentation evening. Held us all spellbound for 2+ hours. Many happy returns - and may there be many more :)

I met him too many years ago when he came to do a presentation at our aviation society and I had to look after him. A fascinating evening and a real gentleman.

Many more Happy Returns Sir
