CIVIL AVIATION REQUIREMENT SECTION 7
SERIES’B’ PART I 12TH NOVEMBER, 2010

6.6 Validity of Written Papers

The Technical and other examinations for the issue of a licence, rating or type rating under Schedule II of Aircraft Rules, 1937 shall be completed within a period of two and a half years immediately preceding the date of application for the issue of the licence or rating, except for issue of Commercial Pilot’s Licence (CPL) and Airline Transport Pilot’s Licence (ATPL), and for issue of CPL and ATPL, such period shall be five years.
Does this mean that the CPL and ATPL papers are now valid for 5 years?

I had passed Air Regulations in July 2009. Then according to the result itself, the paper is said to be valid for 2.5 years.

My query is, How long is my result valid till? October 2011 (2.5 years) or July 2014 (5 years) ?

If anyone has cleared an exam very recently, please check your result sheet for the validity and post it here. Thank you.

atpl Met is valid for 5 yrs from the date of clearing written exam. atpl nav and radio are also valid for 5 yrs from the date you clear your written exam.

that means if you clear your atpl nav or radio written in jan 2016 and you are clearing your orals in any month of 2016 or any month of 2017 etc the paper will be valid from jan 2021 only i.e 5 yrs from you clearing written
