From the Herald Sun:

UPDATE 5.12pm: A WITNESS to a light plane crash in the state's west told authorities there was no chance of survivors.
Authorities said the plane crashed into a private paddock just after 3.30pm at Cullulleraine, about 50km west of Mildura.
Rural Ambulance spokeswoman Gabrielle Degenhardt said emergency crews were alerted by a local.
"They said they had seen the plane come down, and didn't think there would be any survivors."
She said three ambulances raced to the remote scene along a mail route, but there was nothing they could do for the man.
She said there had been no other passengers on the flight.

CFA, SES and police crews also headed to the fatal crash scene this afternoon, near the Renmark Mail Route Rd, north of the Sturt Highway.
There are no airfields close to the crash site.

Looks like 24-7346, which is a Jab 230, but it's a bit hard to make out from the pic.
