Hi there,

I am hoping to undertake my JAR Instrument Rating shortly and would welcome some suggestions for recommended reading/watching in preparation for this! Any comments would be greatly appreciated,

From my limited but successful experience:

Get the Never Get Lost book (RANT covers the software side):
http://www.nevergetlost.at/index.asp?sprache=english

at this point play with the Luiz Monteiro online simulator:
luizmonteiro - Aviation Calculations Home (http://luizmonteiro.com/)

Get hold of RANT:
Oddsoft Ltd (http://www.oddsoft.co.uk/)

Read Instrument Flying by David Hoy
Instrument Flying by David Hoy, 9781861267498 (http://www.crowood.com/details.asp?isbn=9781861267498&t=Instrument-Flying)

Watch The Complete JAR Instrument Rating by John Pullen - Available at www.TransPooleySportysEmporiums.etc (http://www.TransPooleySportysEmporiums.etc) as DVD.

Then take your poor overloaded brain to be soothed over Bedfordshire with Bonus Aviation, Cranfield.

Simples.

Thanks for your response - I have been thinking about buying the John Pullen DVD but it will be the most expensive DVD I have ever bought!

As for the other books/software you recommend- I'll look into them!
