My flight to Alicante was cancelled at the last minute while we were waiting to board at Gatwick on Boxing day. Easyjet offered a full refund saying that it was due to the 'extreme weather conditions'. However Gatwick was running normally (I have a printout of the departure board) with their flights leaving Gatwick for other parts of Spain.
My suspicion is that it was not a weather related cancellation but by using that excuse they get out of paying compensation. But what can I do to prove it? I would appreciate your comments - do you think that this is a fight worth fighting?
Thanks
