“Task manager disabled by administrator”

I am receiving the error “Task manager disabled by administrator” Whenever I try to open task manager of my computer (windows XP).

Any help to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Read and digest this. Especially the part where it says a virus probably did this to it.

Exackerly. You need to run things like Malwarebytes Anti Malware to clean your system as the usual virus scanners will be disabled.

That's what I had to do when i had the same problem
