I am seeing all types of advertisements for Contract Expat Commanders in India. Is this because of all the current Expats failing their DGCA required Class One Medicals?

Expansion of fleets :confused: expansion of routes :suspect: expanding ambitions = :ouch:
Expansion before consolidation = :{
When will airlines here ever learn not to put the cart before the horse?
Thought airline managements would have learnt their bitter lessons by now.
Alas greed supersedes logic!

Hi!

China, India and the ME, especially, are expanding very, very quickly in many areas, including aviation. These areas do not have the facilities, aircraft, instructors, airspace, etc., etc. to train all the pilots needed to fly the aircraft that are demanded by the flying public. Since they can not train enough local residents fast enough, they are hiring outside their country.

It will be a LONG time, especially in China and India, before they will be able to supply enough local talent to staff all their cockpit seats.
