Can A Type 1 Diabetic Be Trained As A Winchman From The Civilian Route?

Hi,

I am a type 1 diabetic with very good control and have never had a problem with it.

I am very keen to become a Winchman, However i cannot join the military because i am diabetic, therefore cannot get my training that way.

I was just wondering if anyone has any information on if a diabetic can be trained as a winchman through the civilian route, and if so whats the best company/organisation to get in touch with?

Would be much appreciated if someone could reply with any information.
