At least 2 Sovereigns and I think 2 Excels / XLS.
Rumour has it that 'they' like you to pay all the stuff with your creditcard and then don´t pay up or late. As said, its a rumour, I might be wrong.

Knowing the main persons involved personally I wouldn´t be surprised if that rumour is true.

The used AOC is from elytra, Egelsbach, their own A/C is a BE90 IIRC.

The A/C have been on the Jetline ticket, but always belonged to Mr.N. and Mr.F., which are well known in the german scene from illustrious ventures such as ComfortAir (had the AOC revoked) and VistaJet before it was sold to its current owner.

Rumour has it, that Jetlines last nails in the coffin were knocked in by N. and F., dunno how much of that is fact...

@X933: is that Sovereigns or Cessna Sovereigns tryin to kill ya?

Oh, forgot to mention - I just come out of ebace 2011, and heard the same bad service stories from Air X from 3 different operators, two of them in Salzburg as well. So not reliable people at all.

They have one of the worst reputations in Germany and Austria I have ever heard of.

It seems that AirX´ CEO John Matthews has trouble with justice again, it is reported that he is jailed in Lebanon over business ethics issues - again.

Seems to be something serious, otherwise police would not arrest somebody on the spot and without notification.

Did anybody hear from him - somehow ? Not many things which are worse than being jailed in Lebanon in the current situation.

Hm, is this another 'will fly for food' scheme? Working two years for peanuts?

I see the term 'gofor' is now referred to as an apprenticeship!

An apprentice learns a trade or skill, the skill is piloting, so why do they expect the pilot to do menial work in their offices?

Oh, cheap labour from those desperate to secure a flying position.

Very sad because no doubt plenty will apply.

That´s just pathetic. Sadly it reflects the current state of the industry.

The job advert reads like an operator that cannot afford to pay properly to retain proper staff, and then is looking to exploit a marketplace to keep going. Avoid would be my advice. Very cheesy slick-salesman-style job advert and to claim the company achieves the most dynamic, knowledgeable and disciplined First Officers in the industry to support and join our crew, as well as the most experienced Captains on the flight deck of Air X - how is that then, never heard of them, so it's not substantiated.

The sad thing is - there are many multi millionaires and billionaires who save pennies and lose hundred of thousands of dollars. And of course, there are operators and managers who see this and cut their cloth accordingly. Whosoever chooses such a bunch as Air X deserve their comeuppance. I see two of their "team" and can honestly say, they have to be the most thoroughly disgusting individuals who should never ever grace the face of our business. Yuk....

And they keep coming back. Pass me the ******* bucket. :(

I hear AirX are structured a bit oddly, i.e. they use someone else's AOC, or something.

Cash flow = no
Paying staff on time = no

He's done well to persuade people to hand over millions of dollars in investment given his 'interesting' past.

Not to mention the busting of FTL on the german AOC, the non-reporting of incidents such as striking a wingtip on the runway in Nice, flying on to Luton after a multiple bird strike in southern France (with engine vibration, 8 fan blades had to be replaced), reporting a overheating screen which cracked in Chambray (the overheat problem was told not to be reported by the chief pilot) !!! to the insurance company as a bird strike. The list is endless!!!:

But they have been nominated recently for Best GA Operator 2014 alongside the likes of London Executive so they must be one of the best to be put alongside the likes of LEA.

Maybe this is all hearsay, would guess you don't get to be nominated if you are not one of the best.

Ahh...the BACA old boys club...:E

Voted for by the people who use them, and who had a jet turn up regardless of bird strikes, dodgy windscreens, etc. Because that's what counts, right...?

AirX Malta is finally owned by a BVI based company which is owned again by John Matthews,
So that’s against the EASA regs anyway due to the 51% ownership clause.

However, it sounds like he is back in his comfort zone: insurance fraud, illegal employment, tax evasion,
Hit and run with the wingtip damage (didn’t he do this before with a super car in the UK?)…

He owes a lot of people a lot of money and moreover a lot of apologies. More than enough for
one life to be honest. I just hope that state prosecutors are getting now involved again, which
will bring Matthews back to where he belongs since long.

It really is about time these type of operations got investigated correctly by the authorities and closed down.
