With regards to the UK CAA, do they write the language proficiency level (4, 5 or 6) into your licence. The reason I'm asking Is have done the relta and got a 6, last week I got a letter from the CAA that there records confirm my language rating and so the letter can me accepted as confirmation of that, but at this time they can't indicate the level on the licence. I'm just worried that when March comes around and a inspector checks my licence and the level is not written in it I might have some problems. I do carry the level 6 and the confirmation with me at all time. Thanks

Hi
Im from the UK and English is my first language. My ATPl was issued recently by the CAA. Even so, it does not state in my licence "level 6".
I completed my LPC today and the TRE mentioned this to me and said that it could potentially cause problems if someone decided to be picky. He said he had had the same problem with his licence but a quick call to the CAA resulted in them sending him an official letter stating that he was indeed level 6 and that was sufficient.
So I would suggest that if you already have a similar CAA letter, then it would be enough
