In case they are looking for more pilots, this is what to expect during the 2 day selection in Zuerich:

Day 1:
Welcome and introduction,
Group discussion: you have to arrange an excursion for about 250
employees.
Theory test: open questions like:
- explain ground speed mini function.
- what is a landing climb and an approach climb.
- all kinds of different speeds like Vs, V1, VR, V2, Vloff, Vmcg, Vmca etc. explain what they are and their relation to each other.
- what are LDA, RLD and ALD and what is their relation.
- what are TAS, EAS, DAS and CAS and what is their relation.
- you have to draw the electric system plus limitations etc.
Interview: takes about 45 min.

Day 2:
Simulator: MD80, the profile is very easy: TO, SID, steep turn, climb, radial interception, holding, ILS. The hard part is to fly this museum!

When these 2 days are successful you have to do a Psyco-test online and that's it!!

Lots of luck to everyone!!

As a former Hello MD90 driver as I must say that I really enjoyed my time, very nice and friendly people, still have nice memories of those times.

As for the interview it was a straight forward chat with Chief pilot and safety manager and a MD80 simride containing two raw data approaches. This probably has changed quite a bit as I'm speaking of April'06.

Good luck to all of you.
