Just to let everyone know, the Peruvian Air Traffic Control Union, SUCTA, announced on the 19th with an official letter to CORPAC, the airport authority, of their intention to walk out for 72 hours, starting on December 6th starting at 7PM local time ( December 7th 00:01 UTC). :}

In the letter the Union explained that management has not complied and even ignored benefits and wage increases which were promissed, but more over it mentions the lack of officials to address safety measures like Radar Control Training and Frequent Communication and Equipment Failures. :ugh:

During the strike contingency plans will be in effect but only bare minimum personnel and staff will be working. That means 10 minute in trail separation for arrivals and departures.

To anyone operating be aware that this will signifiacntly increase delays, so plan accordingly, especially the Trans- and Intercontinental flights from abroad. You will not be given priority, it will be on a first come - first serve basis.

Good luck... and good night (always wanted to say that :) )
