I was surprised to see BE booked to operate on behalf of Thomson from Edinburgh to Corfu in 2011 and wonder about the range of what is presumably an 195 ? There are 195s based at Edinburgh but what are they normally used on ?

I'm sure the longest sector length that a flybe E195 has done is over 6 hours on a charter a few years ago. Corfu should be no problem at all.

It'll be quite tight actually.

I believe that charter was an empty position with favourable winds and ATC. It was close to needing a tech stop.

With a full load of pax you'll get 8 and a bit tonnes of fuel on. Bank on burning about 8 or 9 tonnes for that range. So it'll probably be a limited load to start with.

Maximum range for the195 is a shade over 2,000nm, not sure if that includes reserves though - it's been a while.
