Hello Fellas,
I'm a PPL with > 200 hrs on a C152 & C172. I'm going for my ME soon. At the moment, I don't live in India, but soon my business will require me to spend 3-4 months in India per year.

I'm considering buying a either a single engine or multi engine that would be either hangared at Bangalore or Mumbai.
Would it be easier to get maintenance of a Cessna than a Piper or a Beech given that there are more Cessnas around?
Would anyone be able to give me an idea of the following:
1) Importing (Customs, taxes, etc)
2) DGCA registration procedures
3) Insurance costs
4) Parking fees (tied/hangared)

Thanks.

Yes, that's where I have logged most of my hours.

In My opinion a qucker and better option is to locate the desired aircraft already for sale in India. This will expedite points 1, 2 and 3 for you. I am also sure the owner can guide you thru the other areas of ownership such as parking and maintainability.
