I think someone is tinkering again! My first post was posted an hour before I actually posted it.

What is all this PDT-0700 and PST-0800 nonsense filling the time boxes?

I nearly always google using [site:pprune.org ] and then whatever I want to search for. Gets over the min word length issue and generally seems to work much better.

PS - whats with all this PST guff at the end of every single timestamp on the site - looks proper daft!

Whatever is all this -0800 [PST] nonsense appearing on PPRuNe post details? There's only one universal time, GMT! Or 'UTC' in Roman Catholic.

Or is it simply that fat Spams can't do sums in their thick heads?

And why can't that cretinous title learn that TLAs used by aircrew are often in upper case? It should have read 'PST, PDT....WTF??'

Tolerant much?

It's because someone in their infinite wisdom thought a UK/US-centric forum where the majority of users are on the US East coast or in the UK/Europe would be best hosted on the West coast USA.

Blame the beancounters (or history).

EDIT: WTF? I posted this as a reply to a single post, refreshed, and it became a 7 post thread?!?

Just a nitpick really but at the foot of each page ......

All times are GMT. The time now is 00:41 -0800 [PST].

When the time is actually 00:41 GMT.

There is similar confusion in the article timings in all forums.

Is this a software issue or possibly a browser problem ?

Obviously no one really knows why we have this PST time problem. Hopefully it gets fixed sometime soon. Mods?
