Track Flight Status for (EK) Emirates 17 (http://www.flightstats.com/go/FlightStatus/flightStatusByFlight.do?id=208846538&utm_source=airlineInformationAndStatus&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=co-op)

...at a guess?

HD...presumably A330ETOPS means the Manchester Airport website:

http://www.manchesterairport.co.uk/flightinformation/

which shows EK17 as having landed at 1225Z.

OK, thanks. I was just curious about the "emergency landing" and "airfield closed" bits. Sounds like nothing too exciting occurred.

amazing all those aircraft still landing at a closed airfield

Having being sat in the back of said aircraft. Non event. Announced small technical issue in PA which required to be stopped on runway after landing. Small delay and then taxied in. Sounds like a BSCU reset or something along those lines. As far as Manchester's response...standard UK airport reaction to an aircraft reporting a technical issue. i.e. Crews on standby, out on the airfield.

Non-event and certainly not an emergency landing.

Much ado about nothing. Aircraft was on its way back home within an hour according to the airport departures list. Can someone rename the thread to something commensurate with the facts? :-)

If the mods would close the thread would be better...
