1. A day out of the office?
2. A valuable training opportunity for all ranks?
3. A waste of money?
4. A way to keep the Education Branch in jobs?

Interested to hear what people really think...

Either a troll or a Forced Development mentor who is struggling to get people to do work towards this new directive...

Try empowering the little people rather than getting S/L's to do the work... SAC's are the future of the air force, believe it or not.

I knew a girl called Rhubarb once. She was a little tart.

No need to force her then?

Neither actually....

Just wondering if we can really justify spending money on this sort of stuff in todays climate and do we really get value for money?

And I was an SAC once!

Probably of some value at HQ/PTC bases. Bl00dy pointless on frontline units where force is acutely developed by months spent on a two way range.

Answer 3 mostly with a little bit of 4 too. Some non-deployable personnel may find it useful but all those that deploy have far far better things to do with their time...

It has its uses...

I know of a medic at Kinloss who, whilst on detachment, was "stolen" by a certain special forces unit...

His experiences and knowledge can be shared to many to increase the general "air power" knowledge... Thats what force development should be about, not studying Custers (in)ability to lead...

3. A waste of money

The best FD is at 5pm on a Thursday.

Matelo, wot? No one around on Friday?

Does the Army and Navy have a budget for jollies for the boys (and girls)?
