Hi Guys,

May i know where most Singaporeans pursue their PPL? I am thinking of getting one, it would be great if you guys have links to the Flying Organisation's website.

Thank you.

Hello Macarto,

I remembered you posted a message about flying early this year {right click (http://www.pprune.org/5534378-post30.html)}

When would the ban on foreigners earning their PPL at Malaysia clubs be lifted? Any Idea guys?
Unfortunately, the restriction will not be lifted. There is a big loop hole for foreigners to fly in Malaysia.

If you were to "squeeze" through the "loop-hole", you can fly in Malaysia legally. It is worth it as you could save money to fly in Malaysia rather than in Singapore. ;)

Singaporeans used to fly in Malaysia but not now. You can read my post [right click here (http://www.pprune.org/5310355-post14.html)]. Exactly one year ago, I posted the message. :ooh:

Else if, you may read the discussion thread here (http://www.pprune.org/south-asia-far-east/392721-malaysia-flying-clubs.html) {<- right click}.

Currently, there is one and only well established flying club (http://www.dfc.org.sg) in Singapore which offer PPL course for the public. Check with them. :)

Hi,

Since JB based instructed is still blocked - how about taking a cheap flight to Clark, Philippines and getting some of the basics done there over a couple of long weekends? Rentals are nominally in US dollars, so in your favour while the S$ is so high and instructor time is good value.

The "season" is opening up soon, mid- December onwards is usually flyable most mornings.

P.M. me if you want contact information
