I opened my Google alerts today to find that Spicejet has ordered 15 new Q400's and optioned 15 more. At a minimum of three crew per aircraft that is 90 pilots at least who will get jobs. I am surprised that this forum is not buzzing about this news. Since this will be a new type in India it would seem that the early bird would have a good chance at the worm.

Ever since Kalanithi Maran bought 49% of spicejet , its been all way forward for spice . They ordered 30 737's as soon as maran bought the share and now 30-40 DASH 8's are expected to join the fleet by may 2011 . This is a good news indeed for all the indian cpl holders who are sittin at home playing microsoft flight sim :O .
