Hey can anyone explain me the difference between RTR(A) and FRTOL, their requirements. Does both are needed to work in an airline. also someone explain meaning of recency. I am going for CPL next year and someone told me to sit for rtr exams first then go for ur training. can someone explain why's that.

The COPRTR(A) is a certificate of proficiency issued by the Ministry of Communications.
The FRTOL is an R/T licence issued on the basis of that by the DGCA to allow you to operate the radios in an VT reg aircraft.
Recency is recent flight experience you need in order to exercise your licence privileges
